Here you will find the download of the three areas around Dushanbe (Kilometer 19, Alplager and Sioma):

• Kilometer 19.1 Varzob-Road (Topos of Climbing Routes) and pictures.
• Alplager Varzob (Topos of Climbing Routes) and pictures.
• Valley of Sioma (Topos of Climbing Routes) and pictures.

To create nice and readable topos of the climbing routes, a set of symbols are ready to be used. The following example shows the use of the symbols:

The symbols and the strokes to be used for regular prints in a format A4 or A3 are available as Adobe Illustrator CS5 file. The file can be downloaded here. Unpack the zip file and store the file ClimbingTopoSymbole.ai somewhere on your hard drive.

The use of the symbols and strokes is very simple: Choose in your copy of Adobe Illustrator CS5

→ Window → Symbols → Other Library …

and select the file ClimbingTopoSymbole.ai you just downloaded using the link mentioned above. After loading the file into your current drawing all the symbols are ready to be used.

The same procedure for the strokes: Choose in your copy of Adobe Illustrator CS5

→ Window → Graphic Styles → Other Library …

and select the file ClimbingTopoSymbole.ai you just downloaded using the link mentioned above. After loading the file into your current drawing all the predefined strokes are ready to be used.

If you want to have the symbols always ready to be used, just copy the downloaded file ClimbingTopoSymbole.ai in the installation folder of Adobe Illustrator CS5 on your hard drive:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5\Presets\en_GB\Symbols

and

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5\Presets\en_GB\Graphic Styles

The following symbols and strokes are currently implemented:

During the month of June 2011 on two weekends a workshop with young climbers of Dushanbe was held. Main goal of the workshop was the establishing of safe single- and multi-pitch climbing.

Additionally an introduction in rigging of old and new routes was given.

Equipment (harnesses, helmets, shoes, bolts and hangers) sponsored by several companies (list see below) was distributed to the active and young climbing community of Dushanbe.
